Aimless spam

Spam is always pointless, but has anyone else noticed an increasing trend in seemingly “aimless” spam? I’m talking about spam which doesn’t seem to exist for any purpose than to simply fill up your inbox. It’ll have links to safe, everyday sites (like docs.google.com or some University’s website).

It’s like they’re not even trying anymore.

Spaaaam

Commenting is now restricted to registered users, but I don’t know if that means no one will be able to comment, since this is now on my own site. Hm. In any case I will hopefully get less spam. Oh internet, I hate you so hard.

Taxes

“Do you have any earnings on 1099s that aren’t reported on Schedule C?”

Hm, let me just consult my encyclopedic knowledge of your interminable, arcane, irregularly-named forms and local, state, and federal tax codes. OH WAIT, THIS SHIT SHOULD ALL BE DONE BY A COMPUTER.

AUTOMATICALLY.

THIS IS WHY WE INVENTED THEM.
